2:30-3:00 Provost Marc Roy (Ferguson, #15 on the map)

Mark offered to encourage faculty to look into the possibilities of Crossroads and GCC at today’s general faculty meeting (serendipity!). The registrar was also very open-minded to the idea that I ask him further questions to get a registrar’s perspective on Shared courses. And my German colleague, Perry Myers, was very open to the idea of Shared Courses, he could definitely relate. The French colleague, Emmanuel Yewah, asked me to connect him with another Africanist, and I have somebody in mind: Joanna Grabski, whom he knows a little already. The Spanish colleague, Marcie Noble,  is already working on a plan (possibly themed course) with Berta Carrasco. from Hope on a course for Spanish heritage speakers. And you will hear from Cliff Harris, who wishes to establish a program in Barcelona, Spain, and will tell us more about an interesting TA model involving research labor for Chemistry/Sciences while also functioning as a language TA. You should hear from all of them soon.
